DECA is an organization of business students which hosts competitions at the Regional, Provincial and International levels. Sinclair DECA seeks to prepare students for business in college, university and beyond through case studies which teach students to think creatively in order to solve real-world business problems in the subjects that matter to them. DECA case studies cover a wide variety of interests. Fashion, cars, food, travel, tourism, sports and entertainment are a few of the competitive categories, in addition to traditional fields such as finance, management and law.
DECA begins the second week of school in September. We meet twice a week in room 434: Tuesdays and Thursdays after school 2:55-4:25PM. Note: there are daily meetings during the week before a competition.
Those interested in joining DECA must attend one of the first meetings and return a permission form and pay a DECA Ontario Membership fee of $35 (Note: this is in addition to the requirement that all members must have their student IDs.) In order to stay in the club, members must have good attendance
