On our DDSB website they explain the back ground for Digital Citizenship in our board:
"Digital Citizenship at the DDSB is built on the nine principles of Digital Citizenship, as set out in Digital Citizenship in Schools by Mike Ribble and Gerald Bailey (2007). The essence of Digital Citizenship is separated into nine different elements, including Rights & Responsibilities, Digital Etiquette, and Digital Security."
At Pringle Creek, we do an extensive bootcamp in the beginning of the school year to familiarize the junior and intermediate studetns on the ideologies and importance of Digital Citizenship. The teachers at Pringle Creek take seriously the importance of being responsible with the various forms of technology used at school, trying to ensure that it is being used reasonably, responsibly and for the use of furthering our education in engaging ways.
