Preparing for the Future by Caring for Today
School Information

John Dryden Public School is a Dual-Track school with an English stream that has students from FDK to Grade 8, and a French Immersion stream with students from Grade 1-8.  The total population of the French Immersion / Regular Stream Dual-Track School is 775 students.  It is located in North Whitby; east of Thickson Road between Rossland Road and Taunton Road.

A focus on Literacy, Numeracy, Character Education and leveraging digital technologies drive our school wide initiatives which are in turn guided by data-driven decision making.  We will continue to implement comprehensive literacy and numeracy programs using evidence based instructional strategies and interventions through the  21st Century Learning Classroom.

Our dedicated teaching staff, including Early Childhood Educators, our Educational Assistants, and School Community Council, support our focus on improving student achievement as well as the healthy emotional, physical and social development of our students in a safe environment.
