The Durham District School Board provides opportunities for students of all ages to excel and express their creativity through various art forms including dance, drama, robotics, muti-media, music, writing and visual arts.  Students may engage in various events throughout the school year to develop a higher level of their creativity such as:

  • Captivate Media Festival
    The Captivate Media Festival allows students the
    opportunity to showcase their media studies
    capabilities to the DDSB through a friendly

  • Durham Integrated Arts Camp
    The Durham Integrated Arts Camp (DIAC) is a
    nine day, fully immersive Arts enrichment
    opportunity for students in Grades 7 through 12.
  • DDSB Robotics Event
    Students in Grades 4 -12 participate in teams
    of four. Students are challenged to complete
    a series of problem-based learning scenarios
    that stimulated the creative mind and
    challenged the learner.
  • Pen Strokes Competition
    The Pen Strokes writing contest is for Durham
    District School Board students in Grades 1-12.
