An International Language is defined as any language other than English and French. Credit language courses adhere to the Ontario Ministry of Education curriculum expectations and are taught by accredited teachers. The courses are design to develop knowledge and skills for those new to a language or to extend and perfect skills for those with previous knowledge. Each course has 90 hours of instruction with an additional 20 hours of consultation time available to students. Programs run from 6:00 pm – 9:15 pm. Classes are held one night per week from October to May.

Students may still register for open courses after this date, however, selection may be limited.
Durham Continuing Education reserves the right to cancel classes if there is insufficient enrolment by the registration deadline. Register early to avoid disappointment.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Students attending a secondary school MUST have permission from their day school to take a night school course as the Ontario Ministry of Education has a limit on the number of courses a student may take concurrently. You must speak to your guidance counsellor and receive permission prior to registering.
