FDK FLYERS (Kindergarten)
Full-Day Kindergarten (FDK) is an exciting program that promotes children’s natural curiosity. This play-based program is guided by curriculum expectations but flows based on the interests of the children. The Teacher and Early Childhood Educator work together to plan learning centres that connect the family, the school, the community and the world – the systems that influence the child. The purpose of this program is to help establish a strong foundation for learning at an early age in order to support a smooth transition to Grade 1. At Chris Hadfield Public School, our goal is to encourage students to set their sights high and reach for the stars. In our safe and caring classroom environments, children will have daily opportunities to explore, create and discover - to open their eyes to a world of possibilities.
The Intermediate "meteors" will be "reaching for the stars" with respect to student success and leadership. Our expert crew is excited to provide our students with a safe environment that is rich in creativity, technology, inquiry,
We will strive to attain goals that are driven by passion, discipline and motivation. As well, we will develop a whole school approach to character education, create inclusive classrooms and teach our students to look beyond themselves and to act with empathy and compassion.
Our entire division is very excited about meeting our students and families and developing each student to their full potential.
